Otago Peninsula Walking Tracks

Paradise Road

Park your car on Highcliff Road near the sign to Paradise Track. The upper part of the track is known as Paradise Road and is in fact an unsealed, fenced farm road. Follow the track all the way down to Boulder Beach. This should take about 45 minutes. Going down is easy, but coming back up the hill is quite a steep climb.

The south westerly wind frequently blows a gale in this area, as testified by this twisted Macrocarpa tree. Some excellent examples of old stone walls can be seen along the track.

The next view is of Paradise Track closer to the beach. The rolling hills and sheep peacefully grazing in the paddocks are a true delight.
